The registration now only serves as an illegal registry…

Supreme Court won't even take up assault weapon bans. I feel confident stating that they're not going to grant cert in an NFA challenge.

They indicated they will but only after the results of some district level court cases.
Let’s hope they move sooner rather than later

They’ll move like the wind for other issues but slow roll the AWB laws

All 3 branches of government have an appalling history of treating the 2A as a second-class right

It’s a big club and we ain’t in it, something something

Sure they will, this is a case of having to register something for the sheer purpose of being able to tax it. SCOTUS originally ruled decades ago that registration is only lawful because it’s taxed, now it isn’t, so the registration should go too.

I’m a bit confused/out of the loop about this. Would it mean I could print suppressors without worrying about the ATF getting on my ass?

Yes, but you'd still have to go through the process of registering each one

Do I get a refund ($0) if I have a failed print?
u/DrunkensAndDragons · 2025-06-30 18:16:45 UTC · score 11
Just destroy the first one and print again

Single range trip use, disposable, gun mounted, hearing protection.

Which is a very simple process, other than getting fingerprints done which can be a bit of a pain but only needs to be done once. It takes me less than 10 minutes to fill out the form and I usually get a form 1 approved same week.

...which opens things up for a lawsuit.
Lawsuit printers go brrrrt.

some states need the registration in order to comply with state laws.

Then maybe they should have made registration optional.

I saw somebody explained that, depending on the wording used for removing the $200 fee, it can still be considered a tax even if it is a "$0 tax" as legal justification to keep the NFA registration nonsense intact.
