The top YouTube comment is great. It provides a transcription of what was said, a translation from hillbilly into English, and a possible explanation for what the actual intent was.
Despite what Mike Judge thought was someone complaining about Beavis and Butthead, the comment suggests the guy might be complaining about how the shows on another channel aren’t properly lined up with their schedule. So whenever he jumps on to watch his show, they are showing “Porky’s Butthole”, which is what he calls the “That’s All Folks” ending to a Looney Tunes show. And then he has to sit through several minutes of commercials before his show starts.
Yeah, it's something cable did back in the day, especially MTV, Comedy Central, and TBS.
When everyone else changed at X:00 or X:30, some channels would five minutes late. So if you watched till the end, you missed the beginning of everything else starting on another channel.
It was an anti-consumer practice but that the younglings don't know about these days.
This dude is complaining about mtv doing it, because when he switched to watch Beavis and Butthead, he was always five minutes early and stuck watching credits and commercials from the last show
I haven't had cable in so long I totally forgot about this.
Fucking tbs...
Ohhhhhhhhhh 😂 omfg, I love this guy. I was able to understand him pretty well - a version of that dialect is still spoken by some of the older people here in Appalachian Ohio - but I could not figure out what he meant by "Porky's Butthole" and lost interest after the rant started circling back on itself, and didn't think to look at the comments there.
There is a dude at a tire shop here who has an even thicker accent with more colorful language, and the bits I can understand are fucking hilarious. He absolutely cracks my husband up - people who don't care to listen closely enough to understand him often think he's got some kind of disability, and meanwhile he's cussing their idiocy and poor driving. 😂
