If I’m Winnipeg, I’m pretty pissed that it’s a bye week

I was going to ask about that.

I'm skeptical of the rules changes. I think they were just to harmonize CFL with NFL for business interests. The only valid indicators of measuring the rules changes' success at their purported purpose (fan engagement) is to examine stadium attendance and TV ratings after the rules are implemented against prior years. I am doubtful much will change per those indicators. I didn't hear anything logical about how rules changes would drive fan engagement (more of a 'just trust us'), so Idk what they're thinking. i.e., Will these rules changes stem them losing fans, will they help them gain new fans, etc. Converting NFL viewers seems the more likely to me of the two, but I don't think the rule changes will actually attract those people much. And if the CFL did want to attract more people, rules changes would not be how I'd go about that

I don't mind the reduced end zones (they're already inconsistent), the moved goal posts (I find the "safety issue" framing more compelling than the argument that teams need the field opened up), or the modified rouge.

The 100-yard field upsets me in a visceral way.
