Looks like Yarrabyte has gone missing in action again. I think they may have a secret life or maybe a second job or something. Or just slept in.

Sleep screamed again last night. Second night in a row. I think it has to do with sleep deprivation. Last night, I slept for five hours but I did stay up late to do an assignment and woke up early for work. I didn't even procrastinate that one so much. I reckon once I work on my time management, the sleep will be better too. I have broken down all of my assignments using a planner and have specific time frames to do each step!

I think it's time to speak to a GP about the screaming.

Yeah I might. It's affecting everyone else's sleep too.

If you have a smart watch, check how much deep sleep you are getting. It should be between 1.5 to 2 hours every night. Not saying that's the problem but that's what you should aim for, for a restful sleep.

Yeah not looking too crash hot! I would've been in bed for about 6.5 hours last night but only got ~5 hours of sleep.

That's not too bad but I think you could benefit with more. Now look at your REM. You also need between 1.5 to 2 hours. Both are important.

If the screaming is happening with in the first few hours of sleep it's probably deep sleep related. If it's happening more towards the morning then it could be REM related.

Overstimulation during the day, both physical or mental, could also give you sleep problems.

REM sleep this week has been just over an hour. The only time I've woken up after screaming was approx 1.5 hours after I last looked at the time. I thought this was REM related. But I think the silver lining in all of this is that I get to revise sleep stuff, which will be helpful for my teaching :D

Thank you for your wisdom! I do wonder if you've worked in some kind of health related field or if it's just a general interest thing.

Nah. Sleep studies interest me.

My daughter used to have night terrors as a wee one. I knew exactly when and at what time they would happen.
