You are passing the buck, not taking responsibility for trusting The Establishment Democrats knew what they were doing, despite them not knowing what they were doing. Doomed to fail strategy and you are blaming the voters for not continually supporting a worthless Democratic party constitutionally opposed to stopping the republicans, even after a direct attempt to kill the Republic in all but name.

No matter how little esteem we afford the American electorate, they always are worse.

The full court press in 2020 led to nothing. It was clear to everybody the Republicans were going to when in 2021. Because of your Democrats you still allowed to run the opposition.

They’re not blaming them, just outlining that this is, in fact, what they voted for.

[-] hector@lemmy.today 5 points 1 month ago

You think you voted against the current administration? Because there was no world where these Democrats were going to stop the fascists for more than 4 years.

[-] NotASharkInAManSuit@lemmy.world 18 points 1 month ago

You’re right, it’s better that fascism happened sooner. Fascist accelerationism was definitely the better option. Enjoy what you voted for.

[-] hector@lemmy.today 6 points 1 month ago

First of all it is an ad hominem to assume that I did not vote. Second of all, voting changed nothing, the Democrats refuse to be popular enough to stop the republicans, and refused to enforce the law against the Republicans.

[-] NotASharkInAManSuit@lemmy.world 8 points 1 month ago

Whatever you gotta’ tell yourself, buddy.

[-] ChimpChamp22@reddthat.com 4 points 1 month ago

The Democrats had four years to stop fascism and they did absolutely nothing. What was four more years supposed to do?

[-] NotASharkInAManSuit@lemmy.world 4 points 1 month ago

I already admitted defeat, it’s a good thing that fascist accelerationism happened, we are definitely in the current best case scenario, there is no way we could have done better. I’m glad you got what you wanted and voted for, fascism destroying america is a good outcome, the best outcome. You’re so right. You’re so fucking right.

[-] ChimpChamp22@reddthat.com 1 points 1 month ago

Why don't you answer my question instead of attacking a strawman? What were Democrats going to do? Their leadership is 100% complicit in this, they were never going to do anything. The best case scenario comes from We the People, not the fucking Democrats. You're looking at one head of the hydra and hoping that it saves you from the other head.

No, no, you’re right, I’m not arguing, outright fascism was the best possible solution, we’re in the best timeline. I’m glad you people voted for this. The democrats wouldn’t have stopped the genocide in Gaza outright and ended Israel entirely overnight and turned america into a socialist dreamscape, so homeland theocratic fascism on top of accelerating the goals of Israel is so much better. The lesser evil is, after all, still evil, so it’s better to just fill the glass, right? You’re glad the democrats lost, I get it, you’re entirely justified.

[-] ChimpChamp22@reddthat.com 1 points 1 month ago

Idk what the fuck you're on about mate. You're like that mentally ill dude wandering down the side of the highway rambling to himself. None of that has anything to do with anything I said. Seek help bro. I wish you well.

[-] NotASharkInAManSuit@lemmy.world 2 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

Sure.

And the answer to what would the democrats do: We have no idea, they’re not in power, but I can easily say not this.

Irony is great when you're out of arguments isn't it you pos

[-] NotASharkInAManSuit@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

This has been super fun, and all, but fuck off.
