Enjoy it while you've got it. My guess is pedophiles are going to discover Lemmy at some point and spam it with child porn, and the admins will remove that feature in order to stop them.

That already happened. Just not with child pornography AFAIK, but with gore, nudity and ads. That's why many instances have an application process: to keep the bots and trolls out.

Alternatively upload the Image to an extern Imagesharer/host, vgy.me works fine, and insert the url with Markdown

@Rod_Orm, Mastodon has nothing to do with Twitter. Complete different soft and concept, like Lemmy isn't Reddit.
