“This year, all our pre-filled syringe COVID-19 vaccine doses for Canada are on track to be produced entirely within the country, starting at our new mRNA manufacturing facility in Laval, Quebec, and completed at our fill-finish partner in Cambridge, Ontario,” Raos says.

“This end-to-end domestic supply chain enables fast delivery, greater self-reliance, and a more agile response to evolving public health threats.”

Since they're being banned here in the US, can I go to Canada, get a vaccine, and come back?

Or do they only allow them for citizens?

No joke, if you can. Don't say you got it or that you're getting it. I wish I was being hyperbolic, but I could definitely see them denying people entry that got it. I wish I was joking.

Oh they wouldn't deny entry to an American who got the shot. If they were going to do anything, it would be much worse than stranding you in Canada

~~I imagine it might be free for citizens and similar groups, and at some cost for international visitors.~~ You're best bet is to contact the health authority of the province you'd be looking to get it in

https://www2.gov.bc.ca/gov/content/health/managing-your-health/immunizations/covid-19-immunization

I'm not a resident of B.C.

Non-B.C. residents can contact their local Health Authority Public Health Unit.

edit:

Whether or not it's free for residents might also depend on the province, for example:

https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/edmonton/free-covid-vaccines-bc-albertans-1.7615154

Albertans who don't qualify for free COVID-19 vaccinations in their home province can get one in British Columbia.

Which makes sense, it helps us here in BC if others are vaccinated since it limits the spread of the disease overall.
