I'm genuinely sick of seeing his face, hearing his voice or even being told by the news about the new stupid shit he said today. I'm sick of the people who idolize him when it should be so blatantly obvious to anyone with even a shred of human decency that every word in OP's post is accurate.
This man is the embodiment of our inadequacy as a species.
As a nation you mean, not a species. I've been to so many countries where this man would never have made it to anything let alone fucking president. Trump didnt happen out of a vacuum, there is a very real fascist ROT in the core of the United States that needs to be dealt with once and for all.
Getting you overwhelmed is a strategy do not give in its tough seeing every single day something cruel and stupid. I am tired of him too. But i won't block or filter him. We should not look away.
Don't bury your head in the sand, but also know your limits. It's okay, and even desirable, to unplug from what's going on in the world for the sake of your mental health from time to time.
It's so fucking exhausting. I feel like the past 6 months has taken several years off my life.
Objectively speaking they have. The damage Chief Cheeto has done will be unimaginably difficult to reverse.
Just 3 and a half more years to go.

I used to be. Until November 2016. I gained like 5% of it back in 2020, then lost it all again last year. I don't know how we can ever recover
That was the main reason why I was pissed off at his first and then again second election. Even here in Europe he was going to dominate the news cycle every single fucking day. And we are all dumber for having to listen to his incoherent blabbering.
When Biden won in 2020, I was so relieved. He wasn't my pick in the primary, but the news wasn't a constant stream of embarrassment and frustration. I hate that he's back and so much worse.
We have the sight but not the smell, at least.
