It's actually easy to dodge their enshittification with atproto.
If you get banned on mastodon, you can't move your followers to another server, but on bluesky you can get your rotation key and move them permissionlessly.
Alternate appviews can dodge shit decisions (like the OSA id thing), without you needing to make a new account or move servers.
Addendum: Yes we know that you think ml/hexbear/grad are tankies and or .world are a bunch of liberals but it gets old quickly. Try and come up with new material.

Are there any other instances of BS though? My understanding was that it's too costly to host so there's only the official one
It's gotten cheaper.
deer.social is an alt-client. app.wafrn.net is an alt-pds and appview.
Oh sweet that's great to hear!
This actually depends. Mastodon has several ways of 'banning' a users, and apparently 'frozen' users can migrate their followers.
Sure, but admins still have the power to make it impossible for you to migrate, whereas bluesky does not.
I mean those followers wouldn't mean much if Bluesky stopped indexing your profile though, unless they also jumped to an alternative relay.
I don't want to labour this point too much, I generally agree with you that Bluesky handles this better and it's the direction fedi should be heading.
That's a fault of everyone using bluesky's infrastucture, the same could happen on the fediverse.
That's the biggest problem rn imo.
