Give them a slap...on the back?

...with a shovel!

[-] Flagg76@lemmy.world 4 points 4 days ago

No, it's just a symptom of the disease, you all are responsible for this outcome, you have been working towards this since reagan, and yes all of you, left right democrats republicans, all of you.

And now you finally got what you've been asking for all this time and you want to blame someone else for it, typical.

[-] shiroininja@lemmy.world 16 points 4 days ago

What do you expect me to have done ten years ago to stop all this? Go on a shooting spree? Dumbass. I’ve protested, I’ve rioted, I’ve voted, I’ve signed useless online petitions, I’ve moved cities. My generation has been fucked since I was born in 1987. Now I’m just trying to survive.

What’s your brilliant plan, genius? And how is it my fault as an individual? Or are you some kind of hating troll living in moms basement or working a bot farm?

[-] Flagg76@lemmy.world 1 points 17 hours ago

You were all chasing money and didn't care about anyone else but yourself, as long as you were fine everything was fine. Everything that even slightly resembled something social was communism... Even now you all think socialism is communism, out of fear you might have to pay for someone else. Taxes are evil, government should be as small as possible, no regulations cause you are so fucking free.

Well this is what happens companies unregulated doing whatever they want squeezing every last dime out of you.

And i dont think you can do anything anymore, you are way passed any solution.

But i get sick of the fingers pointing at someone else, like this is just happening for the last 5 or 6 years, but of course someone that holds up a mirror just be a troll or living in someone basement. Hey if it makes you sleep better at night, i dont mind being either.

It's also your fault for not telling your leaders to boycott, sanction, or otherwise ostracize the US rather than sucking up to them. What are you doing to insure your country is free from all influence from that shit hole?

[-] Flagg76@lemmy.world 1 points 16 hours ago

Oh yeah that's rich, like I said blaming everyone but yourself, that will solve it. Like the US listened to any criticism ever, and the us citizens ever only waved their flag and screamed that 'murica was the best, and your educational system made damn sure you weren't told anything about other countries or political systems, you were just spoonfed with 'murica is the best.

Maybe you should have listened to people instead of putting your fingers in your ears screaming "I can't hear you"

[-] TonyOstrich@lemmy.world 1 points 16 hours ago

Whatever helps you sleep at night. Have fun.

[-] Marshezezz 5 points 4 days ago

So after some very basic sleuthing, I see you’re from the Netherlands and fucking lmao. That’s big of you to point fingers like that when you have white nationalists all over your fucking country as well. Get fucked, cunt.

[-] Flagg76@lemmy.world 1 points 17 hours ago* (last edited 17 hours ago)

Lol yeah you just keep blaming everyone else... Hey I don't care, be angry at me all you want. But it's nice to know I hit a chord so you felt the need to check me out.

But it doesn't change the fact you all shaped your society like this.

[-] Marshezezz 1 points 13 hours ago

Well you’re taking a narrative and running off with it so have fun with that, irony be damned. Enjoy!

[-] jaggedrobotpubes@lemmy.world 4 points 4 days ago

That'll teach those people who actively worked against this.

You're definitely one of the ones who gets it.

[-] Flagg76@lemmy.world 1 points 16 hours ago

There is one thing that should happen first and that is hitting rock bottom in a way everyone gets together and make a united front. As long as half of the country hates the other half nothing will change, "they" will keep you divided and fight each other so they can go on doing whatever they want.

And "they" is mostly companies. You need worker rights a solid minimum income, safety nets, a mentality where you are not there to serve your country but the country is there to serve the people. And less hunger for money. And a healthy criticism of your own country, wanting to do better instead of thinking you're the best. Better basic education accessible for everyone, health system the same, I can go on and on probably.

But I doubt it can be done at this point, I really don't even have a clue where you have to start. And it's sad I have friends struggling to raise their children in the US, stuck in toxic relations cause they can't afford to leave. Others working 60 hours a week barely able to pay basic costs, pretty much all of them taken hostage by the companies they work for, can't lose a single paycheck, or the meager health insurance provided through their work (crazy system).

And this generation gets all worst end of the deal, previous generation all let it happen.

If you want to point a finger, point it at your parents and grandparents, they are the ones that let this happen, not your fellow Americans right now. Everyone is voting out of desperation to hope and make things right, voting for Trump is just grasping at straws for a lot of people, but blaming them for this just isn't right.
