Is there an episode guide If I just want to watch the series for the large amount of lesbian stories on AO3? I tried watching it but the animation style in the first season were not to my liking. I hear the animation gets better tho. Is it worth to stick with the series?

Volume 1-3 has the bad animation, but the animation switches to Maya in Volume 4 and the non-fight animation improves dramatically.

Most fics on AO3 will require at least the first two volumes, others may need more depending on when it was written and what the author is trying to do.

If you do decide to start it, you should start with the Red, White, Black and Yellow trailers. They're on YouTube.
