Be cool to each other. We'll welcome most occult themes, it's okay if you stray from witchcraft a bit.
No advertising. No trolling. No hate. Violaters will be removed unceremoniously.
We love art credits when possible.
I've been watching The Owl House on Netflix. Its a cartoon targeted at preteens but is woke as hell and I highly recommend it. In it, Witch is a genderless term. Its a race of magical people.
IRL 'witch' is a genderless term too. The media likes to make it seem like 'witch' is girls only, but I don't know any pagans IRL that actually draw that distinction. Wicca in particular calls both genders 'witches', and 'wizard' is more like an honorific you get for being a particularly wise witch.
My interpretation is that "witch" is more for the cooking type of magic, while "wizard" is more for the baking type. As in, a witch goes by vibes and is generally more improvisational, while a wizard is a nerd who is very exact about everything.
That about sums up the Terry Pratchett Discworld witches and wizards.
I should get around to reading that stuff one day, been hearing good stuff about it every now and then
