You aren't supposed to travel into Nazi Germany right as they are setting up the concentration camps. US tourism should be zero if you don't have family here
US tourism should be zero, and if you have family here then you should be trying to help them leave.
The Olympics were held in Germany while Nazis were in power, it'll be that way here too.
Germany cleaned up Berlin, took down signs, and chilled out somewhat for the Olympics. I don't know if the current administration is smart enough to do that.
