I am a US citizen living abroad. Even I'm afraid to go back home to see my family.

My father in law passed away back in the states and my wife was told not to come back because it's not safe. Normality has fully ended.

The yanks that stay have a fight on their hands whether they like it or not.

Similar situation. I crossed the border last week with no issue. A work colleague got stopped and spent hours being questioned (also a US citizen). No idea what the odds are, nor what the flags are.

Weirdly, this is not always the case.

We are past racism, and fully towards totalitarianism.

I didn't even cross the border. I just got within 30 miles of it as part of a job and hit a security checkpoint.

I’m old enough to remember the iron curtain. That’s exactly what it was like. If you lived or stayed close to the border, you knew to expect being stopped and checked.

I guess that’s what they meant by “great again”.
