“At Winged Foot, where Trump is a member, the caddies got so used to seeing him kick his ball back onto the fairway they came up with a nickname for him: Pele,”

You've probably heard of it, but do yourself a favour and read Rick Reilly's Commander in Cheat: How Golf Explains Trump – (Hachette Books, 2019)

I know little and care less about golf but this book was gripping! Reilly is a great writer and, despite my having read several other books on Trump (Mary Trump, Michael Wolff, etc), I really think Reilly's explains Trumps method of operation better than every other attempt.

It's absolutely shocking what he does in his day to day life. The anecdotes are piled high, the double dealing and fabrications are outrageous. Every single page contains some revelation even more odious than the previous.

A morbid fascination and dogged curiosity regarding the depths of Trump's moral abyss will keep you tutting and eye-rolling to the end.

(Sounds like a sales pitch, I know. But I casually picked it up in a thrift shop for €1. No regrets!)
