Feucht has framed the backlash as a violation of religious freedom, saying: “If I had shown up with purple hair and a dress, claiming to be a woman, the government wouldn’t have said a word.”

He's not wrong. And if someone had shown up at a gay club and thrown a smoke bomb on the stage during a drag show, they would be hauled out on their ass and prosecuted with anything that could be thrown at them.

Good thing we live in a country that believes in equal rights for all. But some people are more equal than others it appears.

The only act of "hate" at his worship service was the person throwing a smoke bomb.

I dont support thuggery. I do support freedom of expression, even if I dont agree with it.

Its kinda funny that he's labelled almost exclusively as "MAGA" by the press when he's here to do worship services. I dont believe anything he did in his first concert had anything to do with politics, it was worship music. Its not like the press wants to stir the pot by emphasizing the MAGA thing /s

If they hadnt made a big deal out of it, this guy would've gone across Canada and nobody would've noticed except a small group of Christians. Now he's had international press and more publicity than he could ever afford to buy. Whether that was intentional or not, its brilliant marketing.

This guy has been very prominent for over a decade. The fact that's true and only a hundred or so people showed up for his concert is a relief. I guess he could always go back to one of his multi-million dollar 'parsonages' and console himself that he will somehow survive on the income from his 10 or so rental properties.

He may not have had international recognition before this tour, but I'm more than okay with people being made aware of what this person promotes before he gains traction here.

Maaaaybe it's just me, but I believe the issue here is not about the messenger and how they dress or which gender they relate to. It's more about the content of the message.

I think he knows that the group thats pushing back the hardest is the LGBT community because he's not a supporter. And therefore his contrasting example is very applicable.
