I just happen to be particularly unskilled at convincing others and I can get riled up easily when someone needlessly tries to bully me. That shouldn't qualify me for the treatment I've received here on Lemmy, but that's not how it's worked out.

I wasn't necessarily referring only to the specific circumstance. I was also pointing out the flaw in the logic of "only democracy".
Again, my point was that a common feedback loop and/or an alignment of a person's toxicity can easily protect someone from justice. Similar to what is happening to the US political parties, particularly the Republican party. Plenty of people align and agree with what is happening and thus it is allowed to continue and even escalate.
As long as someone can paint a better picture and have a following to support then, then a person can get away with seemingly anything at dbzer0. Just gotta get those votes from the people willing and able to participate during the voting period.

How about just simply take action under some circumstances where it makes sense. Don't let admins/mods/users get away with being toxic. Use logic and reasoning and put aside your own biases to look at a situation more objectively.

It's significantly different. The people in my own instance and the instances that it federates with all see it. It's directly attached and connected with my post/comment. Anyone who sees my post/comment sees their lies, too.
With defederated instances, it's like x users talking shit about threads users.

Are you intentionally describing it in this way to frame me in a shitty way? I suspect so. Not to mention I was also mentioning their harassment of other users, and then myself when I called out their harassment.
Additionally, Unruffled didn't simply comment "saying they had banned the alts used for vote manipulation", they framed it as it was expected that I would or should have known that and intentionally left that information out. I don't even understand why that information matters to lemmy.world to take action. Why did they event need to make that comment at all and why did they need to phrase that so antagonisticly?
