Ofc. We're class traitors, but also victims. We have slightly more bargaining power (for now) than the average worker, so I think we deserve that much more flak.

Everything can be rationalized away, but if you can answer hate and fear with love and understanding, nothing in the 'Verse can stop us.

I can rationalize the top monsters behaviour back to childhood trauma, and I can see how even the last factory worker can be the same level of responsible as the president of the United States.

The key for me is finding personal responsibility for myself. I was never taught how to take proper care of myself (emotionally mainly), and I think this might be endemic to society. I might be projecting.

I think we all project but just lie to ourselves about it. Maybe I'm projecting though too

Probably. We might all be brains in jars.

How's the 'deep cut' of the post healing over? Any insights to share?

The deep cut has formed into a rift. I'm almost completely burned on the notion of doing any good in this world with my tech skills. I'm applying to work at a university now, which at least is a bit more of a public service. But it still is selling the next generation on corpo tech, and credentialism.

I'm not sure my money work can ever really be a net good.

Yeah, but that beats making another freemium app or rowing Bezos' boat. Keep your chin up, and make sure you and your own are OK. There will be no revolution if all the altruists are already bled out, you hear me?

Thanks for this. There are no perfect solutions in this world, and you're right--it's something. Maybe I can use what influence I have in this role to set up the next generation of tech workers to do better than we did.
