I dont know if forgive us the correct term, but I think people should get done credit for admitting they were wrong and changing their mind.

It's so rare for deep in the red magas and if you're just gonna keep piling on them after they admit it, you're probably going to push away other potential come to lighters from actually doing it.

That said, I understand the sentiment. I think anyone arguing a right wing point with a "good" moral background should be shut down arguments like "the trans/drags/gays are hurting children" or "the dems are ignoring the constitution/attacking our freedoms" etc can be completely ignored as bullshit, because when they had a taste of power they were 100% on board for "their team" doing those things.
