Why can't I publish my room to the public matrix.org room directory? (thelemmy.club)

When I try, I get a generic error saying "Unable to publish room, there was an error publishing this room."

This kind of error messages is pissing me off so much. "Oops something went wrong". Yeah I'm sure. WHAT THE FUCK went wrong?

Often the software reporting the error does not know itself. If the cause of the error could have been antipicated, it could also have been prevented.
