Hi, can anyone explain what the fuzz about organic maps and the fork CoMapsis all about?

I mean Organic Maps forked maps.me and CoMaps forked Organic Maps. What is the reason behind the last fork? I'm too old to keep track 😩

Currently there is no full time team who is working to develop new features and improve the service. But you can already contribute by making donations, and a first version is already online on F-Droid and Codeberg. The last 2 months have also been spent choosing the name and logo. You can read all about them on the comaps.app website and on mastodon : @CoMaps@floss.social

I actually looked them up and even took a look at their repository and issue board.

The App is already installed on all my devices. It still feels like an early bird, and a yet to be seen direction. Hope they get it right this time.
