Hi all! I'm going to be married later this year, and everyone is asking me to get a registry together... but I don't really "need" anything. I've been living in an apartment and so I have most everything I need, and I reject the notion that just because I'll be married, that people "need" to get me something. For people that feel like they should gift me something, I'd love to just ask for cash so that I can save for when I truly need something, but I'm sure that there are those who will tell me that they don't want to do that. Do you guys have any suggestions? Thanks!

It's your wedding. If you want money because you have everything you need, put that on the invitations. If someone doesn't want to do that, their problem.
