Been looking for a good Navigation App for my Android Phone which has to be Android Auto Compatible, was wondering what the EU has to offer in that Regard?

OsmAnd is nice. Based on OpenStreetMap and you can download the maps to use it offline.

In my opinion it is more suited for hiking and less for driving in a car. My previous tests showed, that the lookup of places is too clumsy and the navigation/routing somewhat limited.

It's pretty good. I also used Organic maps once and it was actually not bad. I think you need to try all services to know what is the best for you.
