Is the "my arse" really necessary in this context?
My intended use in this context was to humourously "express disbelief in what was just said", in reference to the pop-up error message. If that particular phrase is too vulgar, I can remove it.
Seemed more aggressive than humorous to me, and it seems like you are getting downvoted (not me) so maybe the message doesn't get through
FWIW, I think this phrasing is understood differently depending on region. In the UK, and especially the northern counties in England, this is mostly understood to be a humorous exclamation of disbelief rather than anything aggressive.
