I hope we learn from the Declan saga: pick a number that's actually the maximum we're willing to pay, plonk it down with minimal clause faffing about (the day after the transfer window opens would be nice, Andrea), and if/when they say no, pivot immediately and stop thinking about him. I either want to see him in training photos by August or never hear his name again.
