The main issue with this kind of posts is that it might prevent non-assholes potential new joiners to give the platform a try
True, but I think it’s a small price to pay. I’d rather have a smaller Lemmy that maintains the current atmosphere than a bigger Lemmy with a larger percentage of jerks.
Honestly curious... what exactly are you doing in a community who's stated goal is to evangelize the Lemmy network?
