Does anyone know of an animal rescue or shelter that takes strays?
The ones I've tried just say to contact the council and that's not going to lead to a positive outcome.
Elite cat rescue does strays, but are presently full.

You could try Sally's cat and kitten rescue. She has a Facebook page and is round Newport/Williamstown area
