Swiss people can call for referrendums on any laws the legislature proposes.

I'm pretty sure they'll vote it down... unless... the people are apathetic and don't show up to the polls like... ahem some other country... ๐Ÿ‘€

Edit: Wait wtf.

It's important to note that the current amendment is not subject to a parliamentary vote or public referendum under Swiss law. Nonetheless, a public consultation is now ongoing, so everyone can partake.
