Once you realise that they all think we have less than 10 years to the total collapse of civilisation, everything they do makes sense.

What you are seeing is their preparation. The collapse has started and will probably take another half a decade to reach the rich white parts of the world. They just want to die last and they also care a lot about their cause of death.
