Being able to gender names is commonly developed as early as 2.
I'm about to blow your mind here but puberty is gonna happen either way. Either with testosteron or with estrogen. Just because your body predominantly produces one of the two doesn't mean it's the right thing for you. So don't talk about "a phase".
Puberty blockers are a thing for just that reason. Cis kids have been taking them since the 80's for precocious puberty and trans kids since the 90's for gender dysphoria. They are safe and effective, and allow a decision about puberty to be put off as long as is necessary to assuage any doubts.
