I sincerely, genuinely loathe Elon and everything he stands for, but the author is out over his skis here. I suspect he’ll be eating crow in the next few years.
He’s falling for the same fallacy that apparently every other journalist who doesn’t work for ars technica also falls for: that spacex is entirely Elon and not a bunch of well paid engineers who know what the fuck they are doing
Yeah, and his oversimplification of Falcon 9's payload capability is pretty disingenuous.
It's so disappointing. Now the next person to write valid, honest critiques will have to overcome this author's selfishness to get attention.
