Why was this article posted today? The article clearly states it happened the day before Thanksgiving. The preliminary investigation produced only the obvious, that everyone already knew, that the fire killed the passengers and somehow that's newsworthy? If it wasn't a Tesla this article wouldn't exist at all, and we all know that.

Not directed at OP, directed at the damned news.

Did it provide any new info? We already knew the battery caught fire, because, the fire. And that's all the article really mentions.

The article also fails to give any context to put things into perspective, like good reporting should. Especially when it's not breaking news. It doesn't give any sort of context of how many car fires happen in general, or the number of drunk driving fatalities. It doesn't give any context at all, just creates a rage bait headline. Very successfully I might add.
