Bernie is a great speaker. He’s very direct and speaks plainly. It’s effective.

No, Bernie spoke in front of a bunch of right-wing people and made a case for why we should change our system and they were receptive. That's because he spoke like a regular person, not like a politician. He's pretty good at that.
