Been that way since before the “Don’t be evil” slogan was removed in 2018.
That's just when they let the mask slip. It's not like they were saints up til that point.
Hence “before they removed” the slogan.
I don't think they actually removed that slogan though? They moved it from the start of the Code of Conduct to the end, but it's still there: https://abc.xyz/investor/google-code-of-conduct/
You’re right but people don’t care. That’s why you’re getting downvoted. In any case it’s not like it matters, does a slogan or code of conduct actually stop a company from doing shady shit? Anyone that brings it up is just doing so because they don’t really understand the situation.
