Oh boy, here we go. Not in chronological order.
I'm probably forgetting a few. Now ask me about motorcycles.
The Honda Odyssey totally fucks! - Wade
Except for the ways that it does not.
Bad AC clutch? It can be replaced without taking the entire front end off the car, but you do not want to do that.
The worst thing, though, is the eco mode that shuts down one bank of cylinders. Makes the piston rings in that bank fail at 60K miles. They lost a class action on that for certain model years of the 3.5L V6, but they still make them with that mode. I used to be a fan of Honda, but I will avoid that engine at all costs.
I had no idea. My mother in law has that, she's at 20k. Anything she can do to keep from having that issue?
My wife and I had an 03 that was great. The kids really shut up in it compared to the Toyota we had before it.
In fact, there is!
You need to install this. It's an inline resistor system that goes in between a temp sensor and engine control computer. Word on the street is that the newer ECO/VCM 3.5L is "better" than the older ones, but I don't believe it.
From what I can tell, the installation is pretty straightforward.
This one is another option.
Hell yeah, thank you! I'll see if our technician feels comfortable with this.
