It will be interesting to see what happens if we ever get real privacy laws in Australia. I imagine the agencies have enourmous databases full of private information about customers that they share and combine with abandon. They see it as one big marketing tool and don't give a shit about security.

One fix for this issue would be a data breach similar to Optus.
