Rapid and safe don't go together
That’s not true. I can think of a quick change that will greatly improve air safety: ground every single plane, effective immediately.
Would it affect my upcoming vacation? Yes. But would it work? Yes.

Good thing they saved us a bunch of money by shutting everything down then. They can spend the pentagons sushi budget on quickly training some safe operators.
