MODERATORS
A part of me wants to laugh at this, but a bigger part of me hates it. Trump is about as smart as day old dog shit, but that's not what's happening. Everything that's going on right now? It's not incompetence, it's an intentional dismantling of our country. I think memes like this obstruct our ability to see that. When we laugh at stuff like this it makes us feel just that little bit better; like there isn't something far more serious going on. I think levity in hard times is important to our mental health, but I don't think it should come at the expense of our complacency. Right now people need to get angry.
I'm angry, believe me. But you're right, of course. It's just a stupid meme, and doesn't merit any serious thoughts. It made me smile, that's all. I'm still hoarse from yesterday's march and needed to smile. (:
No worries, friend. I didn't mean to single out your meme in particular. This was just a lingering thought I've had for a while and for whatever reason decided to voice it on this post.
