Saw this on bluesky and thought I'd share here since I think there's a lot of trans folks trying to find ways out of the US and this could potentially help in the future.

But did that 2023 petition actually change anything? Or did they just get a 16k mailing list for free?

I'm pretty the government already has a mailing list. The email address is used "to confirm your signature" and, if you opt-in, provide updates.
