All social media apps are spyware apps, I think it's a bit silly to care that one is Chinese vs American.
At least with American ones you have the slight possibility of legal recourse.
With the American one the US government has a possibility of recourse against you, and it's a hell of a lot more than a slight possibility.
I gotta say, I'm not too concerned about the CCP getting their hands on my latke recipe or knowing what bass I catch.
The NSA gets their mits on all this sent over US telecoms and servers anyway, and there's no legal recourse for that.
