Plutocrats patting themselves on the back as they hand the country to fascism. Biden should give himself and hunter one while he's at it. Throw in one for Garland and Mueller to give a real fuck you to the people.

Disgusting creatures.

[-] DicJacobus@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago

what are they supposed to do? the alternative is deliberately choose to start a civil war, and vindicate the opposition's paranoia by giving them a rallying cry.

two bad options, they had to pick one.

[-] ZombieMantis@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago

Biden already has one, funny enough, given to him by Obama in his final days of office.

[-] UsernameHere@lemmy.world 4 points 4 days ago

How did they “hand the country to fascism”? And why are you attacking Garland and Mueller in the same way Trump does?

[-] kittenzrulz123 19 points 3 days ago

Rather then rallying support among the workers and minorities they tried to win over the "undecided centrists". As a result they lost the left, minorities voted Trump, and workers were mostly split (as bad as Trump is he did give lip service to workers).

[-] UsernameHere@lemmy.world 4 points 3 days ago

You’re saying the left is to blame for Trump winning because they didn’t vote?

[-] DicJacobus@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago

not exclusively, but that's certainly a contributing factor in losing the game at the last minute.

[-] kittenzrulz123 6 points 3 days ago

Its not the workers job to support genocide, its the workers job to ensure that their leaders dont support genocide

[-] DicJacobus@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

Representative Democracy is obsolete. We're approaching the stage that technology would allow Direct Democracy. Representative democracy has been killed by Corporate oligarchic lobbyists and hostile governments waging information warfare on titanic scale. the goose is cooked

[-] UsernameHere@lemmy.world 5 points 3 days ago

America funds the IDF so Israel will prevent Iran from taking over the region and to keep Russia out of Syria.

Russia and Iran are responsible for the genocide in Ukraine.

It’s the workers job to support the Ukrainian people and democracy.

[-] kittenzrulz123 4 points 3 days ago

Its not the workers job to prop up liberal Democracy, if anything its the obligation of every worker to destroy Liberalism and establish a true workers democracy.

Because they are useless cunts. Either incompetent or complicit or cowards

A convicted felon who attempted to overthrow the government is becoming president in 16 days

[-] UsernameHere@lemmy.world 4 points 3 days ago

A convicted felon tries to become president and succeeds. Why do you blame others for his actions?

[-] HappyTimeHarry@lemm.ee 11 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago)

It's called "controlled opposition". When you want something bad but don't want to look like you really support the bad thing you just do a really shitty job "trying" to stop it and then when you inevitably fail you get to reap all the benefits while still claiming you fought against it.

[-] UsernameHere@lemmy.world 6 points 3 days ago

It’s called a conspiracy theory when there is no evidence to support your claims.

[-] WhatAmLemmy@lemmy.world 5 points 3 days ago

There is plenty of evidence; you're just ignorant of it. If you can't see it now you're probably too indoctrinated to ever see it.

[-] HappyTimeHarry@lemm.ee 5 points 3 days ago

What's it called when you ignore evidence that's right in front of you and keep trying the same things over again only to keep losing?

[-] UsernameHere@lemmy.world 3 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago)

That’s called a Happy Time Harry

Democrats won 5 of the last 9 elections

[-] HappyTimeHarry@lemm.ee 4 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago)

So not having a primary last year was just an honest mistake you think? Maybe Biden should have stayed on and the mistake was him stepping aside? I'm sure he would have won if only he had a chance.

Must be nice to live in a world where politicians are honest and have the best interests of the people in mind instead of corporations.

[-] UsernameHere@lemmy.world 3 points 3 days ago

So not having a primary last year was just an honest mistake you think?

There were a lot of black and female voters that would’ve been disenfranchised and not voted if someone other than Harris was chosen to replace the president, it was her job. After all, it’s the vice presidents job to replace the president.

Maybe Biden should have stayed on and the mistake was him stepping aside? I'm sure he would have won if only he had a chance.

We will never know if Biden would’ve won if he stayed in. Many feel his chances were over after the debate with Trump. But Trump won after Harris made him look stupid at their debate.

Must be nice to live in a world where politicians are honest and have the best interests of the people in mind instead of corporations.

Nice strawman

[-] HappyTimeHarry@lemm.ee 5 points 3 days ago

I would love nothing more then to be proven wrong in future elections.

A lot of things are conspiracies until years later we get proof of them, I expect if/when we find out the full picture of where the money went the 2020 election will be a prime example of how Democrats value donor money much more then they value winning elections or having policies that win elections.

So here is hoping that in 4 years you can come back and say "I told you so" when Democrats actually present a winning platform in 28.

[-] eugenevdebs@lemmy.dbzer0.com 6 points 3 days ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

Because Garland should have prosecuted the convicted felon who is being put into power in a few days.

Is wanting justice to the nation at large now equally as bad as Trump's morons storming the capitol?

[-] UsernameHere@lemmy.world 3 points 3 days ago

Garland tried to but Trump’s judge had the case delayed.

Why pretend like Trump didn’t prevent the case?

[-] Ensign_Crab@lemmy.world 3 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago)

Biden appointed him to slow walk the investigation so he could run as second worst to Trump again.

[-] UsernameHere@lemmy.world 4 points 3 days ago

Wow that’s a pretty big conspiracy theory.

Too bad there was never a point that the case wasn’t moving forward until Trumps judge had it delayed.

Why would Biden want to slow the investigation against Trump?

Is it ok for us to talk about this without tinfoil hats on?

[-] Ensign_Crab@lemmy.world 1 points 2 days ago

You may trust a man who spent a year and a quarter selling weapons for genocide to be honest and virtuous enough to want justice even if it meant running against someone other than the man he already beat once.

You may think he was smart enough not to want to run against Trump again after four years of broken promises.

I do not give people who supply weapons for genocide the benefit of the doubt. Now scream "conspiracy theory" at anything that isn't performative worship of Biden under any given circumstances.
