This is Avatar: The Last Airbender fanfic, it’s a scar from being burned by his father
I could understand his confusion though. The scar is on the wrong side.
If you haven't seen Avatar before, please, do yourself a favour and go watch it. It is an incredible piece of media.
To be clear, the 3 seasons of the animated series "avatar: the last airbender".
There are unrelated blue people movies, live action remakes, and a sequel series ("legend of korra"), but when people recommend avatar (as they should - it's fantastic) they mean the original cartoon version.
The legend of Korra is great too, but only after watching the original cartoon
Some ppl do recommend the blue ppl movies. No one recommends the live action remake because it does not exist.
There is no live action remake in ba sing se.
I thought the netflix remake series was actually really good. But yeah the movie was terrible.
I honestly had to stop watching the Netflix adaptation after 2 or 3 episodes. It was just so bad. Constant exposition just telling us shit…often stuff that they show had already done an ok job of showing us anyway.
I felt like the trailer didn't look too bad, but in the very best case, the live action show can only be nearly as good as the cartoon show, so I didn't give it a try.
The character in question has a burn scar, that's all.
