That's why one of the biggest requirements they have to pass to join the EU is to reign in that massive corruption. It's a known problem being actively rooted out and punished, and if joining the EU is popular enough I think we'll see a cultural shift away from the Russian corrupt kleptocracy mindset into western European democracy and liberalism
Yeah, Russia isn't any better than Ukraine. Meanwhile, as discussed here, you need to learn a bit about the demographics in Ukraine before talking about Ukrainian destiny.
Aaaaaaaaand then Russia invaded and suddenly normalizing with the EU (not Russia, not invading and murdering them currently) got a lot more popular. Strange, isn't it?
I'm...not even sure what point you're trying to make anymore. I have yet to see anything that justifies Russian aggression in Ukraine though, you seem to have gotten wildly off topic
The point I'm trying to make is that the regime in Ukraine was doing ethnic cleansing in Donbas attacking civilians, and the west just let it happen for nearly a decade. If you don't care about what was happening to those people, then you have absolutely no moral high ground here. Bye.
Oh right, the massive genocide that justifies the whole war. Wouldn't it be crazy if there was actually evidence of that? Would be a huge scandal, front page of all the news since it would get them clicks. Republicans would be dragging Biden down with this for sure.
Yet none of that has happened. Weird. Almost sounds made up after the fact.
Ukraine could've implemented Minsk any time over the past decade, but clearly they thought having a war with Russia was a better plan. It's also crazy that there is plenty of evidence of that, but I guess you were sleeping during that time. Here are a few stories about your best buds
None of those links say anything about genocide in eastern Ukraine against Russians. They talk about far right nationalists being a part of the protests and later the UA military, but even when mentioned all of your sources say they were a small minority, or they make a bunch of claims but never provide evidence.
Did you not expect people to read your links? You are still wildly off topic here. You were trying to convince us that unprovoked war by Russia is justified, remember? Still waiting...
All those links show coordinated and targeted attacks based on ethnicity, and yes I fully expected trolls to pretend that doesn't constitute ethnic cleansing.
No matter how many times you repeat that the war was unprovoked it's not going to change reality. You can keep on believing whatever you like of course, and it's clear that nothing could be said to make you look at the situation rationally.
You're very confused. You said it was the Ukrainian government committing genocide, now we're down to "some people were attacked based on ethnicity in donbas therefore invasion is justified".
You're not very good at this, your whole trolling strategy seems to be based on the assumption people won't read your links and check their sources.
I'm not confused about anything. What I said was that the Ukrainian government was systematically carrying out attacks against Russian speaking population in Donbas. This is a well documented fact, and this is the same justification NATO used to intervene in Yugoslavia. The fact that you can't wrap your head around this is entirely your problem.
The only one making the assumption that nobody will read the links is you, because anybody who actually reads them will see that you're utterly full of shit.

Youkeepp on believing that. It's a country ruled by the oligarchs and it's working exactly the way oligarchs want it to.
You mean like Russia? And I'm unsure how belief is required in Ukrainians deciding their own destiny.

What about the 2019 election? The most recent one before the war I think, right?
I address that in the thread if you bother reading it. Zelensky ran on the platform of normalizing relations with Russia and implementing Minsk.
Aaaaaaaaand then Russia invaded and suddenly normalizing with the EU (not Russia, not invading and murdering them currently) got a lot more popular. Strange, isn't it?
This was happening in 2014 as reported by CNN, where were you? https://twitter.com/paulius60/status/1611148483859255296
