Nah, they don't want to fuss with people for the most part. They're like giant raccoons, big fraidy cats. He didn't know I was there, if he had, he'd probably run off. They will do a kind of 'fake charge' at you if they really want you out of the way and they can't escape, but that's about it
They're honestly much more of a nuisance in this area than anything else. Cool to see them about, but I forgot to close the garage door last week one night and had a bear come in and yank open the garage refrigerator (didn't come into the house, but I bet he would've been okay to try if he could!) and yank out a carton of milk.
