Hummingbirds ignored my feeder this year. Ants ended up finding a path to it, so I took it down. :-/
We found that ant moats like these are great for keeping the ants off our Hummingbird feeders. You can find how-to's online for DIY versions too.

Those are perfect for mosquitoes to breed in, great job.
You could put in a few drops of oil or dish soap.
