A few minutes into my first look at The Midnight Walk , I thought to myself, Wait, is this actually the game? Not a cutscene? What I was watching looked like a gorgeous stop-motion animated short film, but I soon realized the developers from MoonHood Studios were showing me real-time game footage.

The Midnight Walk looks so much like a stop-motion film, a la Phil Tippett’s Mad God or old Tool videos, in part because the game’s characters, monsters, and environments are composed of actual physical materials. Klaus Lyngeled of MoonHood says the studio sculpted some 700 objects, 3D-scanned them in, and turned them into polygonal models. Characters are animated with a stop-motion stutter and the camera has a shallow depth of field to complete the look.

Lyngeled and writer Olov Redmalm describe their first-person, narrative-driven puzzle game as a “cozy horror adventure” full of eccentric weirdos and friendly monsters. The story spans multiple chapters of fairy tales, but there’s a consistent theme among them: warmth, contrast, and bringing light back into a dark world.

The Midnight Walk starts with the game’s main character, the Burnt One, digging themselves out of a grave and repairing their body. As they take their journey through the titular highway the Midnight Walk, they’re joined by a charming and goofy little creature known as Potboy. This guide and companion has a little brazier on its head; using Potboy’s flame and a series of matches, players light torches to bring light to the Midnight Walk and battle enemies.

There’s some puzzle-solving and stealth throughout the game, and even a button dedicated to closing your eyes to just… listening. (MoonHood promises binaural audio and suggests that players experience The Midnight Walk while wearing headphones.) There’s even some “gunplay” — the developers showed the Burnt One acquiring a weapon that shoots lit matches, giving the player extended range to battle monsters and solve puzzles.

While much of The Midnight Walk lives up to its “cozy” descriptor, largely thanks to Potboy, there’s some real horrific-looking stuff in here too. Every monster and boss is some variation on a twisted freak: There are scurrying cyclopean mutants, giant spider-like terrors, leathery weirdos with their eyes sewn shut, and angry-looking slug creatures with rage issues.

The developer’s listed inspirations ( Over the Garden Wall , The Nightmare Before Christmas , David Lynch, Half-Life 2 ) were apparent throughout my eyes-on preview, but the combination of influences and craft on display makes The Midnight Walk feel distinct from the projects that came before it. Suffice it to say, I’m looking forward to MoonHood’s new game, something that wasn’t really on my radar until last week.

Fortunately, the wait to play will be short. The Midnight Walk is coming to PlayStation 5 (with PlayStation VR2 support) and Windows PC via Steam on May 8.

Steven Soderbergh returns for his second feature film of 2025, this time a sultry spy thriller starring Cate Blanchett and Michael Fassbender as a happily married couple of British intelligence officers. When a top-secret malware program is stolen, Kathryn (Blanchett) is implicated and George (Fassbender) is secretly tasked with investigating her. The Colors Within

Where to watch: Available to rent on Amazon, Apple, and Vudu

Genre: Drama **
Run time:** 1h 41m **
Director:** Naoko Yamada **
Cast:** Akari Takaishi, Sayu Suzukawa, Taisei Kido

In this quiet, contemplative movie from K-On! and Sound! Euphonium director Naoko Yamada, three lonely teenagers start a band. It’s less about a love for music and more about the three of them finding kindred spirits with each other. The main character has a form of synesthesia where she sees particular emotions and people as colors. The splashes of gorgeous watercolor hues add some beautiful emotional impact to the otherwise grounded visuals.

From our review:

What makes _The Colors Within _work so well is how the naturalistic animation combined with the specific set-pieces and situations create such a distinct feeling and atmosphere. There are just so many gorgeous, evocative moments where the movie lingers: Kimi’s forlorn reflection in a set of Newton balls; the slightly fuzzy city lights behind Totsuko’s hand as she waves goodbye to Kimi; Rui’s sneakers on the snow-covered steps of the church, shifting as he calls his mother. All the small details contribute to a feeling of soft loneliness that slowly lessens as the characters grow closer and closer.

The Last Stop in Yuma County

Where to watch: Available to rent on Amazon, Apple, and Vudu

Genre: Neo-Western thriller **
Run time:** 1h 30m **
Director:** Francis Galluppi **
Cast:** Jim Cummings, Jocelin Donahue, Sierra McCormick

This neo-Western crime thriller centers on a travelling knife salesman who unwittingly finds himself in an unconventional hostage situation after being stranded at a rural Arizona rest stop. Held at gunpoint by two ruthless bank robbers, both he and the rest stop’s waitress (Jocelin Donahue) must find a way to escape without arousing the robbers’ suspicions, all the while carrying on a normal workday like nothing’s happened. Things only get weirder and worse from there.

The Monkey

Where to watch: Available to rent on Amazon, Apple, and Vudu

Genre: Horror comedy **
Run time:** 1h 38m **
Director:** Osgood Perkins **
Cast:** Theo James, Tatiana Maslany, Christian Convery

Coming off the strength of last year’s breakout horror thriller Longlegs , director Osgood Perkins is back with a new black comedy horror based on Stephen King’s 1980 short story. The Monkey stars Theo James ( Divergent) as Hal and Bill, identical twins who have to find a way to destroy a cursed cymbal-banging monkey toy with the power to kill anyone unfortunate enough to cross its path.

As Polygon’s editor-in-chief Chris Plante puts it:

The Monkey , for all of the familiar trappings, isn’t just another horror-tinged distraction. As the kills become gnarlier — and more, how do I put this?… impressive? — it becomes clear that Perkins is using a familiar skeleton to support something muscular and human. He once again borrows from the works of some of the greatest filmmakers of all time. Not the ones that get added to the Criterion Collection, but those you see get loving 4K discs from boutique brands like Arrow and Vinegar Syndrome.

Opus

Where to watch: Available to rent on Amazon, Apple, and Vudu

Genre: Psychological thriller **
Run time:** 1h 44m **
Director:** Mark Anthony Green **
Cast:** Ayo Edebiri, John Malkovich, Juliette Lewis

Ayo Edebiri ( Bottoms ) stars in this psychological horror thriller as Ariel Ecton, a young music journalist who is invited to the remote compound of a reclusive pop star (John Malkovich) who has been unseen for the past 30 years. What at first seems a once-in-a-lifetime interview opportunity quickly morphs into a nightmarish scenario as Ariel finds herself surrounded by cultish sycophants, intoxicated colleagues, and a nefarious idol with a lot more than music on his mind.

Paddington in Peru

Where to watch: Available to rent on Amazon, Apple, and Vudu

Genre: Adventure **
Run time:** 1h 46m **
Director:** Dougal Wilson **
Cast:** Hugh Bonneville, Emily Mortimer

In a YouTube video Friday, Dropout.tv CEO Sam Reich announced plans to increase the cost of subscriptions to the streaming service starting May 7. Monthly subscription costs will go from $5.99 to $6.99, while annual subscriptions will go from $59.99 to $69.99. However, anyone with a current Dropout subscription will remain locked into the legacy price until they change or cancel their subscription. This means if you want to secure the lowest possible price for your Dropout subscription, you should commit to an annual plan before May 7. It’s also worth noting that new subscribers can still save 20% on annual plans, and additional details have thankfully been spelled out in an FAQ on Dropout if you need more information.

This is the first time Dropout has increased its price since January 2022, and reflects a variety of factors like higher production values and inflation in addition to providing adequate compensation for staff and production teams. Reich says in the video, “To allow us to continue to operate in a healthy, sustainable way, we think that raising prices every few years to keep up with costs and inflation makes sense, but we still want to reward existing subscribers for their loyalty.”

Even with this modest price increase, Dropout.tv is still one of the best values in streaming with an awesome spread of content from the immensely popular actual play series Dimension 20 , to Reich’s own game show spinoff Game Changer , and more.

Nintendo’s Switch 2 ramp-up week started with a cheerful bang (a jingle, really) at Wednesday’s Switch 2 Direct that revealed the sleek new console’s release date, launch games, and features. Donkey Kong hype abounded online, at least until the company’s news releases started trickling out to outlets like Polygon, and sticker shock took over. Nintendo announced it would charge $450 for its console and $80 for its flagship game, Mario Kart World (or $500 for the two bundled together).

Around the same time, President Trump announced his sweeping global trade plan, which included significant tariffs for virtually every country in the world — including uninhabited regions. To put it simply, everyone began freaking the fuck out in response, and the stock market did, too. In the news and on social media, both “Switch 2” and “Trump tariffs” began trending, marking the beginning of a very chaotic 48 hours in which the release of a highly anticipated game console and the blundering whims of the U.S. president became inextricably linked not just for the folks who care about games, but for consumers of other mainstream media, too.

The tariffs will impact the cost of almost everything Americans purchase, all amidst stocks plummeting downward and social services getting dismantled. That might include the cost of Switch 2 — a price that a lot of people weren’t happy about before Nintendo announced it would delay pre-orders due to “tariffs and evolving market conditions.” Panic has ensued for fans: What if the Switch 2 is even more expensive than $450? That’s on top of this other bit of lurking dread: What if there aren’t enough Switch 2s to go around?

Business professor and author Joost van Dreunen said in an email to Polygon that Nintendo’s “explicit reference to tariffs” in its statement is highly unusual for the company, and for Japanese corporate posturing in general. “Japanese companies traditionally avoid commenting on foreign policy matters, making this directness particularly noteworthy. By specifically naming tariffs as the cause rather than using vaguer language about ‘supply chain challenges’ or ‘global market conditions,’ Nintendo is clearly signaling to shareholders and consumers that the delay stems from external policy decisions rather than internal planning failures.” (Polygon reached out to Nintendo for comment but did not hear back before press time.)

There have long been a vocal few in the gaming community who talk about “keeping politics out of games,” which is a senseless take devoid of critical thought to begin with. But that take has never been more senseless than it is right now: Trump’s trade war is, quite literally, impacting games. And Nintendo wants us to know it, too.

But it’s likely not because so many gamers’ favorite nostalgia manufacturer is taking a stand against the big bad along with us. It’s a strategic decision (though I wouldn’t be surprised if Nintendo’s execs privately despise Trump for this decision and maybe even others).

“It insulates Nintendo from criticism about their own execution while gently educating their consumer base about how trade policy directly impacts product availability and potentially pricing,” van Dreunen said. “The reference to ‘evolving market conditions’ gives them flexibility to make adjustments beyond just responding to tariffs, potentially including competitive positioning against the rumored PS5 Pro price drop or shifts in component availability.”

Trump’s newest round of tariffs include a hefty increase up to 46% for Vietnam, the location Nintendo moved much of its manufacturing to several years ago when Trump increased tariffs on China. But van Dreunen doesn’t think it’s too likely Nintendo will raise the price of Switch 2 so close to launch, which he says would be “unprecedented.”

“Nintendo needs time to assess whether their existing price point of $449.99 remains viable or if their projected margins have been compromised. The delay gives them flexibility to either secure additional inventory ahead of potential tariff implementation, explore manufacturing alternatives, or adjust their go-to-market strategy,” van Dreunen said. “More likely, Nintendo will maintain the announced price but potentially reduce initial production volume or adjust bundle offerings to preserve margins. They’re essentially buying time to make the most informed decision possible in a rapidly evolving trade environment.”

And while it’s tempting to take van Dreunen’s salient expertise here as a sign that it’s not all that bad, he also says the gaming industry tends to offer a decent pulse on the rest of the economy.

“Nintendo specifically makes an interesting barometer because their audience skews more mainstream and family-oriented than competitors, meaning their customer base includes the middle-income consumers most affected by economic headwinds,” van Dreunen said. “In this case, Nintendo’s response to these tariffs offers a preview of how global companies with complex supply chains will navigate increasing trade barriers – not by immediately passing costs to consumers, but by tactical delays and strategic reassessment. Their caution signals the broader uncertainty facing multinational companies as global trade tensions escalate.”

The only thing we know for sure is that a lot more uncertainty is coming our way.

In its latest little widget that shows up when searching for a specific game-related term, Google has now added… filling out a complete* Pokédex.

*For the first 151 Pokémon, at least.

A gif of the Google Pokédex feature showing the user searching for Pikachu, “catching” it with a Poké Ball animation, and being prompted to catch more Pokémon by Googling.

Any mobile user who searches for one of those original Pokémon will find a Poké Ball button that they can tap to catch that Pokémon, complete with a familiar animation. As long as they’re logged in, their progress toward completing a Google-based Pokédex will be recorded, and they’ll be prompted with a “Who’s that Pokémon?”-style clue pointing to any Pokémon they haven’t caught yet.

That really seems to be it — no wading through tall grass, just searching for the names of all 151 original Pokémon and tapping the Poké Ball. Google’s news release also says that Legendary or Mythical Pokémon will require Master Balls to catch (traditional), which can be earned by catching regular Pokémon. And that “to win, users must catch all 151 original Pokemon characters.” What you get for winning was not revealed, so all we can assume is that it will include satisfying your instinct for completing things.

Google’s news release cited no particular reason for implementing a Pokémon-catching game at this particular point in time, except to say that “searches for ‘pokemon card’ reached an all-time high in the US” this February. The search engine’s new Pokédex widget is only available on mobile, and requires that you be logged into a Google account in order to save your progress.

Key art for the Kilo 141 best loadout in Black Ops 6

The Kilo 141 in _Black Ops 6 _looks a little different than its series debut, because the latest iteration of Call of Duty multiplayer has a much more streamlined attachment system, but the gist of the weapon is still the same: Manage the recoil and it becomes a powerhouse.

Much like weapons such as the XM4 and Krig C, the Kilo 141 is another jack-of-all-trades assault rifle. This means it doesn't particularly excel in any one area, but instead is capable of handling enemies up close, at medium range, and all the way across the map with the right attachments. The best Kilo 141 build eschews close quarters combat, though, as there are plenty of SMGs and other fully automatic guns in our list of the best Black Ops 6 guns to cover the former.

Here's the best Kilo 141 loadout in ** Black Ops 6** , the best class to use with it, and how to unlock it.

How to unlock the Kilo 141 in Black Ops 6

To unlock the Kilo 141 in ** Black Ops 6** , all you need to do is install and boot up ** Warzone** . The gun has arrived alongside the return of Verdansk, the first ever Warzone map, so it's a free reward to all who play the battle royale mode once. When you've done that, the Kilo 141 will be available for use in both Black Ops 6 and Warzone (though this loadout suggestion is focused on Black Ops 6 multiplayer!).

Best Kilo 141 loadout in Black Ops 6

A menu shows the best attachments and loadout for the Kilo 141 in Black Ops 6

Here's the best Kilo 141 loadout in Black Ops 6 :

  • Optic: Pinpoint Holoscout
  • Muzzle: Compensator
  • Barrel: Long Barrel
  • Underbarrel: Vertical Foregrip
  • Magazine: Extended Mag I
  • Rear Grip: Commando Grip
  • Stock: Combat Stock
  • Fire Mods: Rapid Fire

Firstly, use the Gunfighter Wildcard with this build to allow for eight attachments instead of just five. That's because while the Kilo 141 is a strong weapon with just five, with an additional three it allows you to use Rapid Fire while negating the adverse recoil effects.

Most of these attachments are focused on just that: allowing Rapid Fire to flourish while still maintaining its accuracy. As always, the optical sight you use is largely personal preference, but the Pinpoint Holoscout offers a decent mix of zoom while still having a low enough magnification to not be a hindrance at close range.

The Compensator muzzle and Vertical Foregrip both go a long way to improving the recoil control, while the Long Barrel increases the damage range considerably. You could opt for the Reinforced Barrel instead, but the bullet velocity buff is negligible in Black Ops 6 multiplayer because you're not usually fighting at long enough distances for it to have an impact.

Any of the Extended Magazine attachments can do a job here, but we've opted for the first one because it doesn't have any downsides attached. If you don't feel like 50 bullets per magazine is enough, go for the second or third tiers.

The Commando Grip is useful for your aim down sight and sprint to fire speeds, because even though this build lends itself to a slower pace of play, you never know when you might be caught unaware. Finally, the Combat Stock 's flinch resistance buff is incredibly underrated for helping you stay on target when you're in a head-on gunfight.

Best Kilo 141 class in Black Ops 6

A menu shows the best class loadout for the Kilo 141 in Black Ops 6

Here's the best class to use with the Kilo 141 in Black Ops 6 :

  • Pistol: Grekhova
  • Melee: Katanas
  • Tactical: Flashbang
  • Lethal: Frag Grenade
  • Field Upgrade: Trophy System
  • Perk 1: Flak Jacket
  • Perk 2: Fast Hands
  • Perk 3: Gearhead
  • Specialty: Strategist
  • Wildcard: Gunfighter

There's nothing too unorthodox in this class, since it's a fairly standard playstyle, so start with the Grekhova as the best pistol choice: It's fully automatic and lends itself well to being switched to at short notice to deal with enemies up close. Your other option is the Katanas melee weapon, because they simultaneously deal the most damage and have a fast attack speed compared to all the melee options available right now.

The Flashbang and Frag Grenade combo is an old classic that still reigns supreme as the best choice here, while going for the Trophy System allows you to both defend objectives if you go for them or protect yourself if you're posted up as an anchor in a specific spot.

Opt for the green perks here, which means the Strategist specialty is in effect, giving you a score bonus for completing objectives and destroying enemy equipment. Flak Jacket offers more protection against incoming explosives, especially useful when you don't have a Trophy System available, while Fast Hands means you can switch weapons faster. Finally, Gearhead gives you two field upgrades - so in this case, two Trophy Systems — and it allows you to hack all manner of enemy equipment, such as Prox Alarms and Blast Traps.

If Gunfighter doesn't take your fancy and you opt for just five attachments, choose Perk Greed instead, as this will allow you to run with Tac Mask alongside Flak Jacket.

The CR56 AMAX over a black background in key art for Black Ops 6

The best CR-56 AMAX loadout in _Black Ops 6 _may come as a surprise given that this is another simple automatic assault rifle — or at least, that's what it seems like on the face of it. It's another familiar face returning to the series from both Modern Warfare 2019 and Warzone , joining season 3 as Verdansk makes its way back to the battle royale mode.

However, while this gun is a strong contender for one of the best guns in Black Ops 6 with a more traditional setup, the attachments would be pretty much identical to our recommended Kilo 141 loadout. So for a little more variety, we're opting for one of the CR-56 AMAX's only unique attachments, which converts it into a semi-automatic assault rifle, but also increases the damage considerably.

Here's our recommendation for the best CR-56 AMAX loadout in Black Ops 6 , alongside the best class to use with it and how to unlock the gun in the first place.

How to unlock the CR-56 AMAX in Black Ops 6

To unlock the CR-56 AMAX in ** Black Ops 6** Season 3, you must complete page six of the battle pass. Since each page has seven rewards, this means you must spend a total of 42 battle pass tokens to get your hands on the CR-56 AMAX, but the silver lining is that along the way, you'll also unlock the HDR sniper rifle at the end of page three.

Best CR-56 AMAX loadout in Black Ops 6

A menu shows the best attachments and loadout build for the CR56 AMAX in Black Ops 6

Here's the best CR-56 loadout in Black Ops 6 :

  • Optic: Willis 3X
  • Muzzle: Ported Compensator
  • Barrel: Long Barrel
  • Underbarrel: Vertical Foregrip
  • Magazine: M-67 10-R Mags
  • Rear Grip: Quickdraw Grip
  • Stock: Combat Stock
  • Fire Mods: Recoil Springs

The core attachment to this CR-56 AMAX build is the M-67 10-R Magazine , because this increases your weapon damage, aim down sight speed, and reload speed, albeit in exchange for a hit to the recoil control. However, it also makes the gun fire exclusively in semi-auto mode, which means it basically becomes a DMR. To manage this, you need eight attachments, so use the Gunfighter wildcard.

As a result, the CR-56 AMAX goes from being a weapon suited to short to mid-range engagements to one that excels at longer distances, though you’ll need to slow down your playstyle. It may be a stretch to call this loadout the outright best for the gun, but it's certainly a contender and it offers a fresher way to play rather than just mimicking a number of the other top assault rifles such as the XM4 and Krig C.

To make this build work, you'll want a decent optical sight. Our favourite is the Willis 3X , but you may also have luck with the Hawker Hybrid due to its ability to toggle an iron sight view when needed. That, combined with the Long Barrel for increased damage, means you'll be much more effective at range.

Go for the Ported Compensator muzzle attachment, thanks to its first shot recoil control buff, because without it, the first shot can veer off to the side afterward. The Vertical Foregrip helps with the recoil even more (not to mention the Recoil Springs fire mod). Finally, the Quickdraw Grip lets you aim down the sights quicker — which is handy with a 3X zoom that naturally has a slower ADS time — and the Combat Stock offers flinch resistance, so you can stay on target when you're dodging return fire.

Best CR-56 AMAX class in Black Ops 6

A menu shows the best class and loadout build for the CR56 AMAX in Black Ops 6

Here's the best class to use alongside the CR-56 AMAX in Black Ops 6 :

  • Pistol: Grekhova
  • Melee: Katanas
  • Tactical: Flashbang
  • Lethal: Blast Trap
  • Field Upgrade: Neurogas
  • Perk 1: Ninja
  • Perk 2: Forward Intel
  • Perk 3: Cold-Blooded
  • Specialty: Recon
  • Wildcard: Gunfighter

Since this loadout is a little more unorthodox than your standard assault rifle, we've adapted the class to match. Firstly though, it uses the often-recommended Grekhova due to its ability to finish off enemies at close range, alongside the Katanas , which are the best melee weapon in the game right now.

The Flashbang is always a reliable tactical option, but then opt for the Blast Trap in the lethal spot because you're likely to be posted up somewhere or defending an area, so this will come in handy taking out or at least distracting any enemies that try to get behind you. The same goes for the Neurogas field upgrade, because you'll be able to turn around and finish them off.

We've opted for the blue perks thanks to the Recon specialty, which lets you see enemies through walls for a short while after respawning, plus your HUD will flash when an enemy is outside of your view. Ninja completely muffles your footsteps, so while you won't be moving around too much with this style of play, it will stop enemies from hearing you when you do.

Forward Intel shows you the direction enemies are traveling when revealed with a UAV, so you can stop foes from coming up behind you more effectively, and Cold-Blooded means enemy AI targeting and thermal optics can't target you. There's nothing worse than being taken out by an enemy AI scorestreak when you're on a streak yourself.

Finally, go for Gunfighter as the wildcard — due, of course, to the three extra attachments for your primary weapon, but if you want to stick with just five, go for Perk Greed here and pick either Flak Jacket or Tac Mask to defend you from incoming throwables.

Yasuke sneaks up on a Lost Page location in AC Shadows

Collecting Lost Pages in Assassin’s Creed Shadows is a time-consuming process, but is one of the least dangerous ways to earn knowledge points (and thus get even stronger). They’re located in Temples.

In this in-progress Assassin’s Creed Shadows guide, we’ll not only show you where to find all Temples but where to find all Lost Pages in each Temple.

Update (April 4): We’ve added the rest of the Lost Pages and Temples locations.

How to find Lost Pages in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

Lost Pages are found in the immediate surroundings of Temples , with each Temple housing anywhere from two and five pages (in our experience). Once you’ve collected all Lost Pages in the Temple, you’ll gain a knowledge point.

As you’d expect from a collectible in an Assassin’s Creed game, Lost Pages tend to be tucked in hard-to-reach places. Sometimes they’re behind buildings or on hidden pedestals. Other times they’re on rooftops — or even in trees.

Below, we’ve listed all Lost Pages in Assassin’s Creed Shadows , organized by province, in generally the order in which you go through these provinces for the main story. Note that we have not found any Temples in Iga, the province that serves as a location in Naoe’s backstory.

All Lost Pages in Izumi Settsu

Here’s an overview of all Lost Pages in the game’s starting region, Izumi Settsu. There are only three Temples with Lost Pages here: Gansenji Temple, Tennoji Temple, and Makinoodera Temple.

Gansenji Temple

Gansenji Temple, south of Sakai, is home to two Lost Pages.

  • Upon entering the complex through the front gate, the first Lost Page is on your right, behind the boulder.
  • The second is on the roof of the largest building.

Tennoji Temple

Southeast of Osaka, you’ll find the Tennoji Temple (same location as the viewpoint). There are three Lost Pages here.

  • As seen from the viewpoint, the first is next to the small pond in the northwestern corner.
  • The second one is just outside the walls in the northeast.
  • The third is within the walls on the east side, at the top of a damaged building.

Makinoodera Temple

The Makinoodera Temple is in the southern part of Izumi Settsu, southwest of Osaka and the Tennoji Temple. There are three Lost Pages here.

  • If you approach the complex from the northwest, take the path left of the massive building. You’ll find one Lost Page in the damaged building on the left
  • You’ll find another further ahead of you behind the stone pillar in the bushes.
  • Continue walking around the large building to the right, and you’ll see another damaged building; the third Lost Page is in the attic.

All Lost Pages in Yamashiro

Given that this region contains the city of Kyoto, which is littered with Temples, it’s perhaps no surprise that there are 10 Temples with Lost Pages in Yamashiro: Toji Temple, Tofukuji Temple, Honnoji Temple, Tenryuji Temple, Kiyomizudera Temple, Shokokuji Temple, Kinkakuji Temple, Ginkakuji Temple, Kuramadera Temple, and Byodoin Temple.

Toji Temple

The Toji Temple and its three Lost Pages are located in the southern part of Kyoto, not far north of Shoryuji.

Google has added a new quirky feature to its search: the ability to catch Pokémon, namely the original 151 Pokémon from the Kanto region. If you’re looking to catch ‘em all, we’re here to help you out.

It should be noted before you dive in that this game is only playable via mobile browser. If you’re trying to get it to work on your desktop, it won’t. Unlock your phone and try there!

Below we explain how Google’s Pokémon easter egg works and how to catch all 151 Pokémon using it.

How to play the Google Pokémon catching game

To start collecting the Kanto region Pokémon, you’ll just need to log into your Google account and start searching up the names of various Kanto region Pokémon. That’s literally it.

Once you do, you’ll be prompted with a Poké Ball in the bottom right corner of your screen. Tap it and an animation will play, allowing you to catch it.

There may be some quirks, like the search for “Ditto” bringing up the dictionary definition of the word and not the Pokémon. Adding “Pokémon” to the end of your search should help bring up the actual catchable creature, making the Poké Ball prompt appear, too.

How to catch every Pokémon in the Google Pokémon game

To catch everything, you will just need to Google each individual Pokémon, but there’s a catch — Legendary and Mythical Pokémon (Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, Mewtwo, and Mew) will require Master Balls and will need to be unlocked in a specific order.

This means, no, you cannot just catch five Pokémon and then jump straight into catching Mewtwo. You’ll need to prove your Pokémon prowess first by catching a bunch of the other creatures that came before it in the Pokédex.

You’ll unlock Master Balls as you catch more Pokémon. You’ll get one Master Ball after you catch five, 20, 50, 100, and 150 Pokémon. After each these requirements, you’ll be prompted with specific Legendary or Mythical Pokémon:

  • Five Pokémon: Articuno
  • 20 Pokémon: Zapdos
  • 50 Pokémon: Moltres
  • 100 Pokémon: Mewtwo
  • 150 Pokémon: Mew

However, after catching your first Pokémon, Google will keep things moving by showing you a silhouette with a hint about another Pokémon you have yet to catch, similar to a “Who’s that Pokémon?” segment from the show. You can just keep answering these prompts to quickly nab everything, or you can go down a list like the one on the Pokémon website to just manually search things in order. The order you catch the Pokémon doesn’t seem to matter, so long as they don’t require a Master Ball.

An image of Alma from Monster Hunter Wilds in a Wudwud hideout. She’s pointing.

The Apple of Her Eye ” is a new side quest in _Monster Hunter Wilds _where you help Alma find her missing glasses with some help from a Wudwud named Ayejack.

When you complete this side mission, you’ll be able to customize the look of Alma, and edit her clothes and accessories.

This Monster Hunter Wilds guide provides a step-by-step walkthrough on how to complete “The Apple of Her Eye.” It will also show you the location of the sleeping Wudwud, Ayejack.

‘The Apple of Her Eye’ walkthrough

We couldn’t test if this quest unlocks sooner, but we were able to complete “The Apple of Her Eye” at Hunter Rank 24 (after rolling credits on the series of main story quests and unlocking High Rank). Before you start, make sure you have downloaded and applied the Title Update 1 patch. (The game suggests restarting your console or platform if your game isn’t updated.)

Once those requirements are taken care of, you can initiate the side mission by talking to Alma. Here is the full walkthrough on how to complete this quest.

An image showing Alma thinking about where she lost her glasses in Monster Hunter Wilds.

Go talk to Alma and she will tell you she lost her special glasses and you must investigate by talking to Wudwuds in the Scarlet Forest.

Follow the green quest marker and talk a Wudwud named Scampshroom in area two of the Scarlet Forest. This region is marked on the map and on the eastern side of the Scarlet Forest.) It will mention that “red good things” come here.

How to find a glasses-wearing Wudwud in Area 2

Next, the mission tells you to “Find a glasses-wearing Wudwud in Area 2.” If you follow the narrow path where you found Scampshroom East, there is a little rock alcove where an unnamed Wudwud is digging.

It can be hard to see the Wudwud at first because it’s dark and not marked, but you can see where it is below (it was next to an amber deposit for us). Walk up to it and a cut scene will play that will reveal it has Alma’s glasses, but it runs away.

An image the location of a Wudwud with Alma’s glasses in Monster Hunter Wilds.

Go back to the Wudwud hideout and the Wudwud Thunk (who is located at the entrance of the Wudwud Hideout) will tell you to visit during at night during a time of “plenty.”

Go inside a tent to rest until the festivities. This next step is important: Make sure you change the environment to “ plenty ” and the time to “ nighttime ” when you go to rest. It’ll cost 500 Guild Points to do this.

An image of the rest menu options in Monster Hunter Wilds.

You need to climb some vines that will allow you to access another part of the Hideout. Go talk to Thunk again, he’ll tell you to “aim for up.” Walk past Thunk and towards the Wudwud named Musharpye, the item trader. Use the exit just beside the item trade, but as you exit, turn around. There will be vines leading up high into the tree. You can see an image of it below.

An image showing the vines in the Wudwud hideout in Monster Hunter Wilds.

There will be a ton of Wudwud at the top celebrating by a large fire. Talk to at least four of them with information and they’ll tell you that Ayejack, the Wudwud who found the “red sparklies,” aka Alma’s glasses, is sleeping below.

Sleeping Ayejack location in ‘The Apple of Her Eye’

Go back down to the main Hideout area where the Item Trader and Thunk were. You can find Ayejack sleeping in a little cocoon-like bed made of vines and leaves hanging from the ceiling. He is in a room adjacent to the Item Trader and you can see a few images of Ayejack’s location below.

When you wake Ayejack, the creature will request that you trade it Eastern honey for the glasses. If you don’t already have some, you can get Eastern honey from giant vigorwasps right in the Scarlet Forest. Once you have the item, Ayejack will give you the glasses back and you will unlock character customization for Alma in your tent.

If you're looking for creatures to fight in Monster Hunter Wilds , our monster list provides a full rundown of every encounter, while we have specific guides for Doshaguma, Lala Barina, Nu Udra, Guardian Rathalos, Rey Dau, and Ajarakan.

The Barrow-Dyad Exotic submachine gun in Destiny 2

All Barrow-Dyad Catalysts are now in Destiny 2. But unlike previous episodic Exotic Catalysts, these don’t come from running a mission multiple times. Instead, you’ll need to fulfill some secret conditions.

In this Destiny 2 guide, we’ll walk you through how to unlock all Barrow-Dyad Catalysts in Destiny 2. These quests will net you the High-Impact Reserves, Hatchling, One For All, and Target Lock Catalysts.

This walkthrough assumes you’ve finished the “Dyadic Ascension” quest already to fully upgrade your Barrow-Dyad’s Intrinsic Perk, and also that you’ve collected all Coalescence collectibles.

Update (April): Added the third and fourth Barrow-Dyad catalysts.

How to get the High-Impact Reserves Catalyst for Barrow-Dyad

The Sharp Osseous Spine drops in Destiny 2

To get the High-Impact Rounds Catalyst Refit for Barrow-Dyad, you’ll need to complete an Expert version of the Court of Blades activity with the Exotic submachine gun equipped. When the activity ends, you’ll get an Exotic quest called “ Sharp Osseous Spine.” Take this quest back to the Shaping Slab in Eris’ apartment and exchange it for the “ A Needle’s Path ” Exotic quest.

A Titan poses with Taken energy in Destiny 2

The first step of this quest is to fully rank up the Path of Resolve , getting it to reputation level 12. Complete various episodic activities (wearing the episodic armor gives you a boost here!) to level up until you reach the final level and claim the Moment of Clarity upgrade. If you’ve completed the “Dyadic Ascension” quest already, “A Needle’s Path” will skip to its second and final step.

The quest menu for the “A Needle’s Path” quest

Once you’ve reached rank 12 on the Path of Resolve and completed the first step, you’ll need to do another Expert level Court of Blades. However, this time, you’re limited to using precision weapons only (plus Barrow-Dyad). Here’s everything that’s fair game to use:

  • Scout rifles
  • Linear fusion rifles
  • Sniper rifles
  • Barrow-Dyad

If you complete the Court of Blades on Expert with the proper loadout, the High-Impact Reserves Catalyst will drop from the final chest. Head to The Enclave to re-craft Barrow-Dyad with your new Catalyst.

How to get the Hatchling Catalyst for Barrow-Dyad

A Guardian climbs some hidden platforms in Destiny 2

To get the Hatchling Catalyst Refit for Barrow-Dyad, you’ll need to find and open a secret portal in the Dreadnaught. There is some contention among the community on what allows you to open this portal, but we recommend you do the following to increase your chances:

  • Get the High-Impact Reserve Catalyst Refit for Barrow-Dyad and recraft the weapon with it attached
  • Complete the second week of the Act 2 story
  • Unlock the Path of Ambition (even if you don’t need to do this for the portal, you definitely will need to do it to get Hatchling, so get it out of the way now)
  • Equip Barrow-Dyad when looking for the portal

Once you’ve done everything above, you’re ready for a bit of portal hunting, which is, mercifully, pretty simple. Load into The Nether (ideally the private version so you don’t ruin the experience of any other Guardians) and reload the activity until it starts you in the Trenchway — the area with the Tormentor boss that’s the exterior of the ship.

A Guardian explores the Dreadnaught and an orange hallway in Destiny 2

In the Trenchway, take your Guardian and your Barrow-Dyad and head inside. Cross the big chasm and head to the left side of the platform (where the fire crystal event sometimes spawns). Turn around and look across the chasm to the area you came from, then look up and to the right. On the wall, you’ll see an indent that leads into a secret room.

Walk up to the edge of the platform you’re on and pull out your Ghost. You’ll see a bunch of the invisible Dreadnaught platforms ahead of you. Carefully use the platforms to reach the secret room.

A Guardian goes through the Dreadnaught in Destiny 2

Once you arrive, you’ll see a strange device on the left wall. If you get close, you’ll see a prompt that says “Rites of the Deep Tithe Found Worthy.” If you see this, interact with the device and jump through the Taken portal that appears. Loot both chests and you’ll get a Heavy Osseous Spine, which you can take back to the Shaping Slab to get the “ A Hammer’s Path ” quest.

Some players have reported issues with getting into the portal due to what appears to be a bug. Destiny YouTuber Skarrow9 has discovered a workaround. Even if you can’t interact with the device, you can enter a friend’s portal and get the Catalyst quest if they open one in their game and you join their instance. We were able to confirm that friends can enter a hosts portal that was opened before they joined.

A Guardian with Taken energy poses in front of the Path of Ambition in Destiny 2

Once you have “A Hammer’s Path,” you’ll need to reach rank 12 in the Path of Ambition — be forewarned, this is quite time consuming. You can earn reputation by swapping to the Path of Ambition at the Shaping Slab (make sure you do this or you will earn 0 reputation for anything you do) and then completing seasonal activities like the Court of Blades or The Nether.

Once you reach rank 12 and collect all of the Path of Ambition Perks, the quest will ask you to complete an Expert version of The Nether using only close-range weapons. Here’s what you’re allowed to use:

  • Shotguns
  • Glaives
  • Swords
  • Barrow-Dyad

Similar to the precision weapon run of the Court of Blades for Barrow-Dyad’s first Catalyst, you’ll receive the Hatchling Catalyst as an activity completion reward as long as you adhere to the loadout requirements listed above. Note that you’ll need to complete the entire Expert Nether, not just the first encounter.

Once you’ve unlocked the Hatchling Catalyst, you can reshape your Barrow-Dyad in Savathun’s Throneworld at The Enclave.

How to get the One for All Catalyst for Barrow-Dyad

To get the One for All Refit for the Barrow-Dyad, the first step is to complete the reprised “ Sunless Cell ” **** Strike with the SMG equipped. Completing the Strike will grant you the Trembling Osseous Spine, which you can bring to the Shaping Slab to begin the “ A Hundredfold Path ” catalyst **** quest. The first step of this quest is to find all 10 Tithing Wormspawn in the Dreadnaught.

To do this, first make sure you are on the Path of Ambition , which you can set at the Shaping Slab, and make sure the orb is changed to white. Once all of this is done, head to the Dreadnaught and grab the Tithing Worms in the following locations.

Amazon has discounted our favorite 4K OLED gaming monitor, the Alienware AW2725Q, to its lowest price ever. Typically $899, this monitor is on sale for just $749.99. The AW2725Q is an excellent value and makes a strong case for 4K gaming. The 27-inch OLED monitor boasts a 240Hz refresh rate and is less expensive than comparable models from Sony or Asus. If you need a stronger excuse to make the jump from 1440p to 4K gaming, I don’t know what it is.

The OLED panel on the AW2725Q is also equipped with an anti-reflective coating to ensure your games always look their best, while the support for Nvidia G-Sync and AMD FreeSync keeps screen tearing to a minimum during unexpected performance jumps. Another cool feature that you can only get with 4K monitors is picture-in-picture support, which allows two separate inputs to share a single display.

The AW2725Q has a single DisplayPort 1.4 input, along with a pair of HDMI 2.1 ports. The monitor is also equipped with a trio of USB-A ports and a single USB-C port that can provide 15 W of power to peripherals or other devices.
