Charlie Brown holds Lucy's hand as they walk towards the playground. A sign on the entrance reads, "City Park" He asks, "What would you like to do first, Lucy...Go down the slide?" "What's a slide?" Lucy asks.

"What's a slide?" Charlie Brown repeats as he turns to look at her.

He crouches down and asks, "You've never been on a slide before, Lucy?" She shakes her head: "Uh, uh.."

Charlie Brown stands on top of the ladder leading to the slide. "Well, just hang on to the sides...you'll like this." Charlie Brown promises. "Lucy pretty high up," Lucy observes as she starts to slide down.

"There you go!" "Whee!" Lucy cries as she slips down.

"?" Lucy is puzzled as she sails off the end of the slide and up into the air.

KLUNK! Lucy lands on her head,

Charlie Brown is on all-fours beside the upside down Lucy. He congratulates her: "That was sensational, Lucy! I thought you said you had never been on a slide before?..."

"Ugh!" The horseshoe thuds to the ground with a clump!

"Umph!....Rats!" Charlie Brown's ring crashes to the ground with a thump!

"Ugh....Rats!" Plop! A ring lands with the others on the ground.

Patty crouches down to pick up the horseshoes. "What's the score now, Charlie Brown?" she asks. "It's still nothing to nothing." He holds the other two horseshoes.

She offers, "Let's make it a nickel to whoever gets the first hundred ringers," as Charlie Brown struggles to shape the rings.
