OSM ~~is currently~~ experiencing a DDOS attack.

Looks like OSM is mostly working now.

My guess would be that this is related to the recent uptick in vandalism that we've seen:

Edit: Be careful reversing ways since many tags depend on this direction (ie: stop signs).

Pokémon Go relies heavily on Openstreetmap for controlling what types of Pokemon spawn and where.

A recently added pokémon spawns in "beach" areas. Some users may place fake beaches near areas they frequent.

That being said, I would also expect to see a boost in legitimate beaches being added on to the maps now.
