I live in Bundang, and I have a broken camera and a laptop I want to throw away. But I have no idea where to throw this away here in Korea. How does it work?

In Sweden, Germany and Poland we had a special place where you'd bring it and they would recycle it or whatever, but I can't figure out what to do here.

In my neighborhood a bridge collapsed and killed a pedestrian. Now they're trying to fix the other bridges, but it's not easy.

I was walking around close to the mall around here and there are many park attendants who tell you how to park. They all sit in those little containers and watch TVs which seem to be from the 90ies.

A jet ski rider who has been detained since he washed up on South Korea’s coast is believed to be a Chinese dissident who feared for his safety and fled by crossing hundreds of miles of sea, trailing barrels of fuel behind him.

The coast guard in the western South Korean port city of Incheon said in a statement Sunday that a Chinese man in his 30s tried to illegally enter the country Aug. 16 by riding a jet ski from the Shandong area of China, an eastern province around 200 miles away across the Yellow Sea.

the songs are featured in episode 2 a little bit past half way in the episode.

1st song (sounds very 1980s): the translated subtitles are "you can hate me instead. so get rid of any lingering affection. don't you ever look for me again. because i'll end up hurting you. take it away from me."

2nd song: the translated subtitles are "squishy, did you say my lips are like jelly? 어떻게, 어떻게, what if you come quietly to me and beg me for a kiss, 어떻게, 어떻게, how are you so good at guessing what i want and wish for? just like a magician casting magic spells you grab me and shake me. i don't know, you can tell me, a thousand times i still wouldn't know, i want to know how love feels, it's driving me mad...."

Thank you!

I have been studying Korean for a while and been looking into Korean language music. Of course every country seems to mostly have some light pop on their top lists, but I don't feel like I have had problem finding diverse genres and bands from other countries. But when I have been searching for Korean bands and especially artists singing in Korean language the exceptions to k-pop and "soft" music seem far and wide between.

And it's not like there isn't any skill or interest, I can find even gayageum covers of rock songs showing how awesome that is, but that isn't being utilised for original modern songs like it is in the neighbouring countries.

After 2 years I'm still not used to it, it's not that bad yet but I remember having to run the AC in dry mode for a month or something because everything above 70% humidity just makes me change my underware every two hours.

Korean buff Jesus is gone (jemmy.jeena.net)

I guess some of you have seen one of the pictures go around the internet of the Korean buff Jesus statue. Just today I saw it on r/funny and r/korea: https://www.reddit.com/r/korea/comments/14gbeuo/korean_crossfit_jesus_is_this_a_real_thing_in/

I went there to see it two years ago, and I found the place, but the whole thing was gone. You could still see where it once was, it was in kind of the backyard of a christian church, but that church also seemed empty, at least nobody was there so I couldn't ask anyone about it.

Then I drove away and stopped at another church not far away. There was a priest and we asked him about the Korean buff Jesus and he said nobody knows exactly but some year or so before I went there was a big fight between the Buddhists and the Christians around there and the Christians destroyed or stole some Buddha and people thing that in retaliation the Buddhists stole the buff Jesus. At least that were the rumors this christian priest heard.

It's a shame that it's gone because it was an awesome depiction of the son of God.
