This behavior is very concerning, especially since it's not a one-off, their other replies on that account aren't much better.

Right now, it's a bit difficult to go through all of my movies. I know I can create and sort by collection, genre, etc., but it doesn't help when browsing for movies to watch. What I'd like to do is group, for example, all the Harry Potter movies together. Or all the Star Wars movies together. Right now, they take up an inordinate amount of space. Is there a way to configure Plex to have them in a sort of subfolder that expands when selected?

It also says "free of installer bundles" while (at least in past, don't know about now) their default windows installer was including ads (source)

P.S.: If you want to disable the in-app ads, here's how to: https://gist.github.com/yunooooo/87564a0293a1c7a53fb3e233a604c638

A new EUIPO study reveals that while piracy rates have stabilized in the EU, significant variations exist across countries and content types. The research also links higher piracy rates and socioeconomic factors such as youth unemployment and income inequality. Higher average incomes and increased awareness of legal alternatives reduce piracy.

Dramacool emerged in the early 2010s, catering to pirates with a love for Asian dramas. The operation eventually drew an audience of millions but, in true drama fashion, announced its own demise this week. The site's operators cite 'copyright' as the reason and recent domain name troubles and pressure from Hollywood studios likely played a role.

I'm just wondering what people's experience is like in cases where they mostly play pirated games

Results of the operation include:

  • 102 suspects identified
  • 11 people arrested
  • Over 112 house searches conducted
  • At least 29 servers seized
  • 100 domains taken down
  • 270 IPTV equipment/devices seized

Hosting provider Uberspace has suffered another setback in a German court. The court of appeal ruled against youtube-dl's former hosting provider, holding it liable for alleged violations of YouTube's copyright protection measures. The owner of the company is currently considering further appeal options. Meanwhile, youtube-dl remains available on GitHub.

When I found out I had a V1 Switch, I homebrewed it as soon as I was able, and ripped all my games to put them onto an emulator. After looking further into it, I found that homebrewing could improve the console experience as well. I'm eager to use it, but I'd rather not manually inject a payload every time through Tegra. Are there any ways to make the Switch boot into a payload like Hekate?

I'm starting to collect some documentaries for my server but having a hard time finding torrents on the public sites. Is there a torrent site that specializes in documentaries?

The Supreme Court has signaled its interest in a landmark case that could redefine anti-piracy enforcement. By calling on the Solicitor General to weigh in on the "repeat infringer" dispute between Cox Communications and several record labels, it has become more likely that the Supreme Court will eventually share its opinion on the "billion dollar" piracy controversy.

Pirates refusing to quit and pirate sites coming back to life isn't unheard of but, for those caught in the act, the consequences can be severe. That's mostly the case in the United States and Europe but the global piracy landscape today is significantly bigger. According to broadcaster beIN, previously shuttered streaming sites are quickly getting back in the game.

I've got legal, authorized access to cengage's ebook platform. HOWEVER: their built-in ereader is absolute CRUD. Does anyone have a tool that can create an epub or pdf from a given cengage book?

I've already checked libgen, anna, ebsco, and the online databases. the book isnt already on there, so once I rip it, it'll get uploaded by me.

A highly controversial court order that required Cisco, Cloudflare, and Google to poison DNS earlier this year was just the beginning. To further combat sports piracy, broadcaster Canal+ sought several follow-up orders. Cisco had discontinued its OpenDNS service in France due to the legal restrictions, so only Google and Cloudflare put up a defense, but without the desired result.

One of the most enduring online movie scams involves sites that claim to offer premium content, but turn out to be some type of scam. These services do not discriminate, so whether 'customers' are pirates or just regular people hoping to buy content, everyone is a potential victim. The scam has been running for at least 20 years yet, seemingly out of nowhere, pro site-blocking studies now describe it as a major piracy-related security threat.

Recently I decided to create a community for Kodi addons since there isn't an equivalent to the Reddit version. This community is for discussion and sharing of any Kodi addons but it's mostly about streaming addons. If you have an interest in Kodi addons, or piracy on Kodi in general I recommend subscribing to the linked community, and if you have anything about Kodi addons you want to ask, or any addons in particular you'd like to share I encourage you to post there.

What will you take into consideration when choosing your next service?

Despite a series of failures concerning Italy's IPTV blocking platform Piracy Shield and the revelation that the 'free' platform will cost €2m per year, telecoms regulator AGCOM insists that all is going to plan. After breaking ranks, AGCOM board member Elisa Giomi called for the suspension of Piracy Shield while decrying its toll on public resources. When she was warned for her criticism, coupled with a threat of financial implications, Giomi came out fighting.

For the past year or so, I have been fairly happy with the RD, Torrentio, and Stremio setup. I've enjoyed being able to have a mostly seamless streaming experience; just search, click, and watch with little load or wait. In the past, I've experimented with the -arr's and qTorrent setup on a local machine, but I switched to RD for the convenience of being able to spontaneously watch a show or movie (like on a date night).

With the possible (maybe likely) end of RD, I have wanted to look back again at having a personal setup, but I want to see if anyone has recommendations for a setup that is as close as possible to the current one. I know, of course, that a local setup will not have the same benefit as a massive service as RD with a huge cache of torrents ready to go, but is there a way to get close? Round off some of the sharp edges and pain points?
